Dysmenorrhea often affects the daily activities of adolescents who experience it. Some non-pharmacological efforts that can reduce dysmenorrheaby providing acupressure and efflurage massage. Objective: To determine the effectiveness of acupressure and effleurage massage in reducing dysmenorrhea for adolescents at Tampir Wetan Village, Candimulyo District. Methods: The method used in this study was a quasi-experimental with two group pre-test and post-test non-equivalent control group design. Respondents in this study were 46 adolescents in Tampir Wetan Village, using proportional random sampling technique. The measuring instrument used to measure the level of dysmenorrhea pain in this study used the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Results: There was a significant difference between dysmenorrhea before and after acupressure with p value = 0.000 (p <0.05), dysmenorrhea before and after giving efflurage massage with p value = 0.000 (p <0.05). There is a significant difference in dysmenorrhea after being given acupressure and massage efflurage with p value = 0.010 (p <0.05).
Conclusion: There is a significant difference in dysmenorrhea after being given acupressure and efflurage massage. Giving efflurage massage is more effective in reducing dysmenorrhea pain in adolescents in Tampir Wetan Village.
