Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Active Learning tipe Card Sort berbantuan Media Kartu Huruf terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa sekolah dasar kelas I di SD Unggulan 20 Sumurarum. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Pre Eksperimen tipe One-Group Pretest Posttest Design. Subjek penelitian dipilih secara Nonprobability Sampling model sampling jenuh. Sampel yang diambil sebanyak 18 siswa dengan menggunakan metode pengumpulan data berupa tes unjuk kerja. Uji validasi dilakukan menggunakan Expert Judgment. Analisis data menggunakan teknik statistic parametric yaitu Paired Sampel t-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model Active Learning tipe Card Sort berbantuan Media Kartu Huruf berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa sekolah dasar. Hal ini dibutikan dengan hasil analisis Paired Sampel t-Test dengan probabilitas nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000 (0,000<0,005). Berdasarkan analisis dan pembahasan terdapat perbedaan nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 52,5 dan posttest sebesar 78,8 dengan selisih perbedaan 26,3. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model Active Learning tipe Card Sort berbantuan Media Kartu Huruf berpengaruh signifikan pada kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa sekolah dasar kelas 1 di SD Unggulan 20 Sumurarum.
