Abstract
Background: Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a chronic metabolic disorder that cause by the pancreas not producing insulin or the body unable to use the insulin it produces effectively. BPJS Kesehatan has a chronic disease control program in the form of prolanis to cope with the burden of the disease (BPJS Kesehatan, 2014). Factors that influence the incidence of injury are physical activity, family support, socio-economic conditions, prolanis, age, duration of illness. Purpose: The objective of the study is to identify the relationship between prolanis participation and the incidence of wounds in people with diabetes mellitus in Magelang regency. Methods: The method of the study is croos sectional. The population in this study amounted to 6,483 respondents. The sample used is as many as 120 respondents by taking samples using accidental sampling technique. Prolanis enrollment and injury incidence were measured using a questionnaire. The statistical test used in this study is the Spearman test. Results: There was a relationship between prolanis participation and the incidence of injury in people with diabetes mellitus in Magelang district with a p value of 0.001 (p <0.05) and r = -0.735. Conclusion: There is a relationship between prolanis participation and the incidence of wounds in people with diabetes mellitus in Magelang district.
