Abstract

Background: High or low emotional preschool children can be determined by several factors, including the parenting style applied and the mother's educational background, which affects the child's emotionality. Objective: To determine the relationship between parenting and the level of mother's education on emotional preschool children at Tk Pertiwi Candimulyo. Method: The method used in this study is croos sectional. The population in this study amounted to 57 respondents with using purposive sampling. The children's upbringing and emotional patterns were measured using a questionnaire while the mother's education level was taken from demographic data. The statistical test used in this study is the Spearman test. Results: There is a significant relationship between parenting and emotional care of preschool children at Tk Pertiwi Candimulyo (P = 0.000). There is a significant relationship between the level of parental education and emotional preschool children at Tk Pertiwi Candimulyo (P = 0.000). Conclusion: There is a relationship between parenting styles and the level of mother's education on emotional preschool children at Tk Pertiwi Candimulyo.
